Jack Winter, group planning director at Craft Media and co-host of the Media Week Podcast, has been promoted to the role of head of planning.
He will report to Craft Media managing partners Yewande Ogunkoya and Jon Goldsmith.
A newly created role, Winter will be responsible for a planning team of 11, encompassing comms planning directors, planning managers and planning executives.
His remit will be to ensure Craft Media’s planning output is industry leading, maintaining the agency ethos of “producing the most effective and innovative” campaign strategies for clients.
Sally Weavers, co-founder of Craft Media, said: “It’s been such a privilege watching Jack step up and into this role.
“He is a brilliant planner, admired by everyone he works with, passionate about media and committed to making Craft the best in the industry. We are thrilled to be able to promote him into this pivotal role.”
Winter has been at the independent planning agency since 2021, when he joined as planning director overseeing key accounts including Wagamama, The Gym Group, Hello Fresh, Formula E and Tortilla.
He was promoted to group planning director in 2022 and named a Media Week 30 Under 30 for his passion for the work and the industry.
Since then, he has been leading Brewdog and Formula E accounts in the UK, US, India and other markets.
Before joining Craft Media, Winter held various account management roles at Initiative and MediaCom, including a term as associate director on MediaCom’s Vauxhall and Spoticar accounts.
Winter said: “Craft’s planning team is made up of highly intelligent people who pour themselves into the work they produce and, most importantly, they are hungry to continue honing their approach to planning.
“I’m proud of how far they’ve all come in the past few years, so it will be a pleasure to lead the team as we continue to produce world-class comms planning for our clients.”
